Voluma in Biloxi, MS

Over time, our cheeks can lose volume causing them to have a sunken in or hollow appearance. Michael Diaz, M.D., F.A.C.S., uses VOLUMA® to add volume to the midface and cheek areas to restore a more youthful appearance on people living in and around Southern Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.

What is VOLUMA®?

VOLUMA® is a prescription dermal filler containing larger particles of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance found in the body. When injected around cheekbones, the HA attracts moisture and boosts collagen production to add volume to the skin. When injected into the midface area, it redefines cheek lines and restores the “apples” to the cheeks to give a younger look.

The Best Candidates for VOLUMA®

Candidates for VOLUMA® look as though their faces have lost volume and look somewhat sunken in. They want to restore a younger look but are not at a point where they need extensive and invasive surgeries.

Planning for Your VOLUMA® Treatments

We recommend you schedule a consultation with Dr. Diaz for an evaluation of your face, overall health, and medical history. Once complete, Dr. Diaz recommends whether VOLUMA® or another Medical Spa treatment is the best option to achieve your aesthetic goals.

Administering VOLUMA®

During VOLUMA® treatments, the filler is injected using a very fine needle into precisely targeted areas of the face. Because VOLUMA® contains larger particles of HA, it can be injected into the deeper layers of the skin. There is no discomfort with the injections, but if necessary, a topical numbing cream may be applied. VOLUMA® is typically used in the cheek area as well as the folds around the nose and mouth. Treatment sessions usually take no more than 30 minutes unless performed with other cosmetic procedures or treatments.

After VOLUMA® Treatments

There may some slight swelling or redness around the injection sites which resolves itself within a few days. Most people notice subtle improvement immediately following treatments with the full effects becoming more visible over the next few months. With VOLUMA®, many people only require one to two treatment sessions to achieve their desired look.

How Much Does VOLUMA® Cost in Mississippi?

The cost of VOLUMA® depends on the areas to be treated, how many injections and treatment sessions are needed, and whether other treatments are performed at the same time. Dr. Diaz goes over the cost during a consultation along with payment and financing options.

Your New Look

The results from VOLUMA® take a few months to take full effect, as the collagen and moisture take some time to plump the skin. Results from VOLUMA® last up to two years and are easily maintained with touch-up treatments.
