Mommy Makeover in Biloxi, MS

Michael Diaz, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board-certified plastic surgeon in Biloxi, MS, performs mommy makeovers on women in and around Southern Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama who want to restore their pre-pregnancy body and appearance.

What is a Mommy Makeover?

There is no reason women can’t look and feel great during their “mommy years.” After pregnancy, a woman’s body has a harder time returning to its previous shape. With mommy makeovers, women can have minor cosmetic surgeries and treatments to restore their physical appearance. Each mommy makeover is customized to meet individual specific needs.

The Best Candidates for Mommy Makeover

The best candidates are women who have finished having children and want to get their pre-mommy bodies back. Have you decided that you are finished having children? Most women want to flatten their abdomens and lift their breasts following childbirth and mommy makeovers are just the ticket.

Planning for Your Mommy Makeover

If you are interested in cosmetic surgery, the first step for planning your mommy makeover is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Diaz to discuss what you would like to change and the best options to achieve your desired look.

Preparing for Your Mommy Makeover

Since this is a mommy makeover, to prepare for it, you need to arrange help so that you can take some time following the makeover to heal and recover – the first two days being the most important. You also need to prepare to make things easier following the surgery.

From there, we give you a detailed pre-operative list of things you should avoid including blood thinning medications and supplements. Additionally, if you smoke, we recommend you stop for two weeks prior to the procedures and two weeks following as it impairs the healing process.

The Mommy Makeover Procedure

Mommy makeovers consist of various cosmetic procedures that help women achieve their pre-pregnancy bodies or a look they desire. Most often, mommy makeovers involve breast augmentationabdominoplasty or liposuction, and even other medical spa treatments.

After Your Mommy Makeover

Once the makeover is complete, and the anesthesia has significantly worn off, you may leave the surgery center with your companion. We always recommend that someone take care of you and your children for the first couple of days so that you can rest and recover. Someone MUST be with you the first night following the procedures.

Since a mommy makeover involves multiple procedures, it often requires a bit more recovery than undergoing one cosmetic surgery procedure. It is recommended that you take at least a week off at the very minimum to heal and recover.

How Much Does a Mommy Makeover Cost in Mississippi?

The cost of a mommy makeover is based on the selected procedures to be performed, so it varies with each patient. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards as well as offer financing through CareCredit®.

Getting Back to Normal Following Your Mommy Makeover

Most patients start to feel better within a couple of weeks following a mommy makeover. After about a month you should be back to normal although you may still be a bit tired depending on your normal daily routine.

Your New Look

Once the procedures have healed, your previous figure, or a figure you have longed to have, becomes a reality. Not only do you have a sculpted and defined physique, you have a much more positive self-image.
