What is BOTOX®?

BOTOX® is a prescription injectable medication that smooths fine lines, wrinkles, and creases along the forehead and face. It is made from a refined bacterium, botulinum toxin A that temporarily paralyzes the muscles in the face to smooth the skin and relax your facial expression. BOTOX® is also prescribed to treat migraines and overactive bladders, as well as to treat excess sweating in the armpits.

Best Candidates for BOTOX®

Most candidates for BOTOX® have noticeable lines across the forehead that cause people to look irritated or tired. They may also have fine line and wrinkles around the eyes that can be treated with BOTOX®. Other candidates have chronic issues including migraines, overactive bladders and excessive underarm sweating that are successfully remedied using BOTOX®.

Planning for Your BOTOX® Treatments

To plan for BOTOX® treatments, you must schedule a consultation with Dr. Diaz to talk with him about your condition or skin imperfections so that he can evaluate your face and make a recommendation about whether BOTOX® or another injectable is the best option to achieve your goals. If time permits, you may be able to receive treatments immediately following the consultation.

Administering BOTOX®

BOTOX® is injected into the muscles of the targeted area with a very thin needle. It is essential that you work with a plastic surgeon who is skilled at administering BOTOX® to diminish wrinkles and provide natural looking results. The number of injections needed varies based on the extent of the creases and lines.

After Your BOTOX® Treatments

Immediately following BOTOX® treatments, you can go back to work or your daily activities. You may have some slight swelling or redness at the injection site, but it is temporary and typically resolves itself within a day or two. The results take a few weeks to reveal themselves fully and last for several months.

How Much Do BOTOX® Treatments Cost in Mississippi?

The cost of BOTOX® varies with each patient based on the number of injections needed, how many treatments are needed, and whether other treatments are done in conjunction. During your consultation, we can discuss the treatments with you along with our payment options and financing.

Your New Look

The results from BOTOX®, when administered properly, are natural and long lasting, especially when maintained on a regular basis.
